He focused on his ignition products and created the Mallory Electric Company. He held patents in several countries and invented the very first breakerless magneto.
Mallory moved to Detroit to be closer to Henry Ford because they designed the ignition system for the 1932 Ford V8. He supplied Ford with many ignition components until about 1948.
